New Accounts:
A new account (initial) order must total $100 or more net price and be accompanied by a signed and completed credit application and tax exemption certificates (if applicable) for all ship-to locations. Customers requiring approval from the credit department will be answered within 5 business days of receipt of the credit request. For a newly established business without credit history, one-half of your order must be prepaid prior to shipping. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Existing Accounts:
An existing account seeking an increase in their credit limit is required to submit an updated credit application for credit, unless a favorable credit history has been established for two or more years. These will be reviewed on an individual request basis. Credit limits may only be increased one time per fiscal year.
Billing Policy:
Net 30 for all orders, Visa & MasterCard accepted. C.O.D. is available with approval. All returned checks are subject to a $25.00 charge. Orders under $50 net price will receive a $5 service charge. Orders under $200 net will be billed the actual freight cost. Orders in the 48 contiguous states totaling $200 or more net price will be sent free freight*. We reserve the right to use the carrier and service of our choice. All invoices are due in full. If an invoice adjustment is necessary, please contact Customer Service. All past due accounts will be charged interest rates at 18% per annum or the highest interest rate allowed by applicable law. Past due accounts will be placed on credit hold until the matter is resolved. All payments are due in U.S. currency. By placing the order, the customer agrees to abide by terms in effect at time of sale.
*Excludes displays/fixtures and accounts in Alaska and Hawaii. Universal Designs will pay 1/2 of actual freight with the service of our choice. Customer is responsible for all freight charges (inbound or outbound) on orders placed by customer and then refused at time of delivery unless order is canceled prior to shipment.
Claims Policy:
In no event shall Universal Designs' direct, indirect or consequential liability extend beyond the replacement of merchandise, fixtures, or other materials. All claims must be made in writing within 30 days of discovering damage. Failure to do so shall constitute waiver by customer of any such claims.
Shipping Damage:
In the case of shipping damages, concealed or visible, the shipping carton, packing and the damaged goods must be retained for carrier’s inspection. All damages must be reported within 7 days of receipt of merchandise. All liability for goods damaged in shipment shall rest with the carrier.
Return Policy:
Authorized returns are permitted for limited exchanges, shipping errors, and damaged merchandise. Prior approval for any return of merchandise is required and a Return Authorization Number must be obtained through Customer Service. No credit will be issued for unauthorized returns. Only merchandise that can be resold will be issued credit. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges for returned merchandise. Call tags will not be issued. Returns/exchanges are to be shipped postage paid. No returns on special/custom orders. Universal Designs issues merchandise credits only. No deductions may be taken until a credit memo has been issued by Universal Designs.
Pricing:
Prices referenced are net cost and are subject to change without notice. Orders received with prices other than those authorized will not be processed without the proper approval.
Ordering options for all displays:
(Temporary or Permanent)
OPTION 1 - PAY FOR THE DISPLAY - No additional product need be ordered.**
OPTION 2 - PAY FOR THE DISPLAY - COST OF DISPLAY OFFSET WITH FREE PRODUCT - When ordering a full product assortment (or equivalent), to offset the cost of a display, an amount of free product (priced at "Suggested Retail"), equal to the price of the display, will be sent.**
OPTION 3 - Display will be discounted 50% with the following condition: - You must purchase one (1) each of all assortment(s) needed to fill the corresponding display.**
OPTION 4 - DISPLAY WILL BE FREE WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: - For displays with a single product line, a double assortment for the corresponding display must be purchased. For displays with multiple product lines, a double assortment with the highest wholesale value for the corresponding display must be purchased.**
** It is expected that customers are ordering display fixtures to be used with Universal Designs product. If, upon examining the customer history, there is no indication of orders for Universal Designs products fitting that fixture, the customer will be notified that the display is not available for sale.
ABOUT MONARCH PRE-PACKS AND DISPLAYS:
• Monarch products are sold as pre-packs (an acrylic panel with product.) The cost of the acrylic panel is offset with free additional product at retail value.
• For the purpose of free or reduced cost displays as described above, an assortment is the number of pre-packs required to fill any given display.
• Note: Exception: When two 1020 space-savers and at least 8 prepacks are ordered, the 1021 pedestal is FREE.
Shipping:
All shipments are F.O.B. DeLand, FL. We ship UPS when possible. If a different method of shipment is required, please specify when placing the order. We will, when possible, comply with your request.
